Has this insulation been removed from a roof?
No. Nothing we sell is tear-off or previously installed. Every board is unused factory overstock or a factory second.
What is the difference between overstock and factory seconds?
Factory overstock is extra production that was never installed, and it makes up most of what we carry. Factory seconds are new, unused boards that did not make the factory's first-quality cut.
What condition is it in?
It depends on the lot. Ask about any lot and we will describe its condition before you buy, or set up a time to see it in person.
What type of facer does it have?
Facers vary from lot to lot. Ask about the facer when you request a quote and we will confirm it for the boards we have on hand.
What do you have available right now?
Stock changes often as new loads come in, so the best way to know is to request a quote or call. We cannot promise that a particular thickness or quantity will come back in.
Do you carry other thicknesses or tapered board?
Sometimes. Other thicknesses, including tapered board, come through from time to time. Ask and we will tell you what is on hand.
Are you affiliated with an insulation manufacturer?
No. High Country Discount ISO is an independent distributor and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any manufacturer.
Pricing
How much does it cost?
Standard 4' x 8' sheets are a flat $0.30 per board foot, so a 1" sheet is $9.60 and a 2" sheet is $19.20. 4' x 4' sheets are 20% less per board foot. See the pricing page for every thickness.
What is a board foot?
One square foot of board, one inch thick. Board feet per sheet = width x length x thickness (in inches) / 144.
How many sheets are in a bundle?
A bundle is a 48" stack, so divide 48 by the thickness in inches and round down. For example, 1-1/2" board comes 32 sheets to a bundle and 4" board comes 12. 1/2" HD comes 48 to a bundle.
Do you offer discounts?
Our prices are already heavily discounted. The two ways to save more are choosing 4' x 4' sheets (20% less per board foot) and qualifying for free delivery.
Is there a minimum order?
No. Buy a single sheet or a full truckload.
Is sales tax included?
No. Prices on the site exclude sales tax, which is added where it applies.
Do you offer financing?
No. Orders are paid in full.
Does an estimate reserve my material?
No. The estimate is a price guide only. We confirm what is on the lot before any sale.
Pickup and delivery
Do you deliver?
Yes. Delivery is free on orders of $500 or more within about 100 miles. Other deliveries are about $2 per mile, counted round trip.
I do not have a forklift. Can you still deliver?
Yes. We regularly deliver to homeowners and small contractors without unloading equipment, and we unload on site without damaging the boards.
Where do you deliver?
All of Utah, western Wyoming, southern Idaho and western Colorado.
Can I pick it up?
Yes, in American Fork by appointment. The lot does not have a regular street address, so we send a map pin and directions when you set up a time.
Do you install?
No. We sell insulation only and do not offer installation.
